Which Series is right for me?
Brand new for Baja Designs is the SAE-certified light. This light is based off of the Squadron series, and while there are many visual characteristics that stayed the same, the pattern and circuitry are optimized in order to give the SAE light a street-legal punch! Baja Designs put this light through rigorous tests, so rest assured that it’s a serious upgrade from most LED, HID, and Halogen factory fog lights.
The Squadron Sport is similar in aesthetics to the Squadron Pro, but the application for the Sport varies. The Squadron Sport utilizes 4 LEDs producing an impressive 3,150 lumens at 26 watts making it ideal for near field, side/backup and scene lighting application.
The Squadron Pro packs 4,600 Lumens at 40 watts that truly annihilate the darkness of the night. Don’t let this light fool you, although compact in size, this LED auxiliary light can literally blind you with brightness. The secret to Squadron Pro’s brilliance is Cree LEDs, which provide 20% more reach than standard LEDs with the same power consumption. The Pro comes equipped with a sleek black gloss aluminum housing and outshines the competition through both appearance and performance.
Baja Designs is proud to introduce the Squadron Racer Edition, with 4,300 lumens. The Squadron Racer Edition throws light an average of 40 percent further than the Squadron Pro with High-intensity LED, housed in hard anodized and powder coat cast aluminum. Enjoy nearly 50,000 hours of bright, efficient lighting to enhance your nighttime off-roading experiences! The Racer Spot pattern is a longer and narrower 7-degree beam for illumination further down the trail or road. The Spot pattern is designed to be used in conjunction with additional Wide Driving and/or Driving/Combo beam lights.
Which Light Pattern should I pick?
Spot: A longer and narrower 9-degree beam focus for illumination further down the trail or road. The Spot pattern is designed to be used in conjunction with additional Wide Driving and/or Driving/Combo beam lights. (Lighting Zone 4 & 5).
Driving/Combo: Maximum trail coverage in a single light. The Driving/Combo pattern is equipped with both Driving (42-degree) and spot (9-degree) optics to provide you with a smooth blend of light for both near field applications and distance (Lighting Zone 3).
Wide Cornering: BD was the first to develop a pattern specifically for cornering, dust and/or fog conditions. The Wide Driving pattern offers a 42-degree flattened horizontal beam for the ultimate in comfort lighting. (Lighting Zones 1 & 2).
Work/Scene: Excellent work light or “scene light” with an extremely smooth 120-degree circle that projects about 40 feet. This pattern is not suitable for driving. (Lighting Zone 7).
