Machined Tie Rod + Clevis Steering (Toyota Menu)

This Machined Tie Rod and Clevis Steering upgrade solves the weak tie rod problem on our Toyotas, and allows for full droop on upgraded suspension setups! Kits available for most Toyota trucks and suspension widths (use dropdown menus above). One kit includes both driver and passenger sides.

Weak factory outer tie rods are replaced with:

• 5/8" Grade 8 hardware and 7/8" heim joints from FK Rod Ends
• Machined tie rods made from 17-4 Stainless Steel / 7075 Aluminum*

Weak factory inner tie rods are replaced with:

• 1/2" Grade 8 hardware and 3/4" heim joints from FK Rod Ends
• 17-4 Stainless Steel clevises with machined steering rack bolts

Vehicle Compatibility: not compatible with full-time 4WD!

Suspension Width Compatibility:

• Stock Width: all factory-length arms, including 'mid-travel' kits
• Long Travel: all +2", +3.5", and +4.5" LT kits

Spindle Compatibility:

• Stock Spindles (you will need to weld on double shear tabs; we offer a kit for some models)
• Solo Motorsports Fully Fabricated Spindles (no further modifications necessary)

Notes:

*Tie Rod Material- 96-02 4Runner, 96-04 Tacoma, 00-06 Tundra and 01-07 Sequoia kits utilize 7075 Aluminum for the tie rods. All others utilize 17-4 Stainless Steel.

**AWD Vehicles- this kit is NOT compatible with with Full-Time 4WD vehicles.
