THE PROBLEM: This kit addresses one of the biggest design flaws on our powertrain: the haphazard low-hanging radiator... It extends several inches down past the frame, sacrificing front end ground clearance and just waiting to get smacked.


THE SOLUTION: Opt Offroad's HCR kit replaces that vulnerable stock radiator with your choice of a Premium OE Replacement or High Performance unit that mounts above your frame rails, where it should have been from the start! All kit options are a complete bolt-on replacement and easy install process. They also all come from manufacturers with a proven track record and warranties to back it.
Both radiator options are equipped with auto trans coolers. Both have the same factory inlet/outlet layout, aside from the lower hose fitting being a few inches higher. The included custom lower hose accommodates this change though.
Note- the hose included in this kit is spec’d for 3.4L V6 trucks, but the HCR kit will also work for 2.7L 3RZFE trucks too! If you have a 2.7L, you will simply need to source a factory lower hose for a manual transmission 2.7L truck.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Coolant-
- OE Replacement: CSF recommends following factory specifications.
- High Performance: Champion and Cold Case recommend Ethylene-based yellow/green coolant & distilled water only, to prevent premature wear on your radiator. Peak 10X is a great choice, as it is formulated to work with all vehicles and cooling systems, and has been thoroughly tested to work with these all-aluminum radiators. Using other coolant types can potentially affect your warranty. While "Asian Red" and "Toyota Pink" coolants are Ethylene-based, they have been known to cause issues with the full aluminum housings, and are discouraged for this setup.
Body Lifts & Radiator Hoses- If you have a body lift, then the distance between your engine and lower hose has been reduced. You may need to trim some excess length off your new lower radiator hose to accommodate the angle perfectly. You are responsible for ensuring hoses are kink-free prior to filling cooling system or running your engine!
Fan Shroud- Your factory shroud is reusable for this kit! However, there will be excess length at the bottom which can be easily trimmed off with a razor blade to match the height of the new radiator. We are currently working on a plug and play shroud.
Maintenance- Overheating issues can be caused by a number of factors (dirty fluid, broken water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, kinked hoses...) so don't expect a nice new radiator to fix your problem if something else is neglected. We are not responsible for overheating issues on your truck. Your cooling system is just that, a system. So treat it as such and maintain it!
